Théophile Matondo Mbungu

Théophile Matondo Mbungu has over 35 years of experience in project management, primarily gained in the infrastructure sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

He began his career working on road infrastructure projects implemented במסגרת partnerships between the DRC and United Nations agencies (ILO and UNOPS). He subsequently broadened his expertise across multiple sectors — including education, healthcare, energy, public buildings, and agriculture — serving first as Technical Director and later as Director General of the Bureau Central de Coordination (BCECO). In these roles, he developed strong expertise in multilateral donor procedures, particularly in procurement and operational management.

Théophile also possesses proven skills in project management and strategic planning. Prior to joining AEE Power, he spent five years at AFCON Consulting, where he supported companies in project delivery through training and advisory services, including planning, monitoring, and performance control.

He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic Faculty of the University of Kinshasa and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Liège. He also holds two international project management certifications (PMP and MPDI), as well as an international certification in corporate strategic planning.
